The Human Rights Council this morning held its annual half-day panel discussion on the rights of indigenous peoples under the theme “Tenth anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.”
今朝の人権理事会は、「先住民族の権利に関する国際連合宣言の10周年」のテーマのもと、先住民族の権利に関する年次の半日パネルディスカッションを開催した。

China regretted that some groups of indigenous peoples were living on the periphery of society and faced violence. China believed that the international community should focus on the implementation of the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, particularly its art. 46, adding that the rights of indigenous peoples should not be used to undermine the sovereignty of States. The participation of indigenous peoples in the United Nations institutions should be improved.
中国は、先住民族の一部の集団が、社会の周縁に住み暴力に直面していることが遺憾だった。中国は、国際社会は、先住民族の権利に関する宣言、特にその芸術の実施に焦点を当てるべきだと考えた。第46条、先住民族の権利が国家の主権を損なうために使用されるべきではないことを付け加えた。国連機構における先住民族の参加を改善すべきである。
